  • Noooooooooooooo!: PSN Down

    Posted March 1st, 2010 at 1:57 pm
This weekend there was a worldwide PSN meltdown - and no it didn't go crazy and started killing people. An error 8001050F occurred forcing gamers (and non gamers) to not be able to use their PS3s for a while. I think it only affected PS Slims, but after reading some of the articles I've seen about it, older PS3s were affected and newer updated PS3 Slim models are in the clear. A friend of mine and a fellow MAG addict experience such tragedy yesterday and messaged me twice in facebook. I say s...

O wow. I can't frackin' wait! Folks with a 360 should also consider getting a PS3 this summer to take advantage of  (well besides MAG) 3d games on your kick ass 3D TV. One of the most anticipated games this year is Killzone 3 and according to sources close to Sony, the FPS game release will support both new technologies for the PlayStation 3: 3D and motion sensing with the new Arc controller. Then again 360 folks are waiting for Natal to release so this year is a great year indeed! "We'r...

Ben Heck has been doing game console mods since I can remember and I've been a follower of his work for over 4 years now - since my very first all Playstation blog (now gone). He revealed the Xbox 360 laptop mod about 4 years ago, then the Nintendo Wii laptop. Now he's back and this time, the project was PS3 laptop. And after a year and a half of working on this thing of beauty (completed 2008) he brings to you the ultimate of ultimates in gaming consoles. Thank you people of Engadget for con...

I was browsing around PSN Store last night and saw this demo available for download. I was inches away from clicking Yes to download until my MAG conscience decided to say "What are you doing even thinking about playing OTHER games? No other game exist out there! Just me!" Right now I am bound to my MAG game but I'm thinking about downloading this tonight. Sorry Zipper, we're on a break. I think 2 hours of sleep a day is already taking it's toll since I inadvertently mixed my coffee with oatmeal...

Game Reviewed: Dark Void (X360) Reviewer: Recon19D (PSN) R19Delta (Live) Disclosure: Received 1 copy of game to review and a swag pack Classification: Third Person Shooter/Flight Recommendation: Rent Great games have some basic components to them.  Good storyline, interesting characters, solid controls, and fun gameplay that doesn’t get boring in the hours required to complete the game.  Dark Void has some of these components, but lacks in others. For me, it had a good ...

Not only is the ever powerful PlayStation 3 a weapon of online mass destruction in the gaming world and a leader in Blu-ray innovation,  it is also being used by the US military as a super computer that's a 100,000 times more powerful than a high-end computer processor -- Now how cool is that? Air Force will link 2,000 PS3s to make a cheaper brand of supercomputer to create a Neuromorphic system that is designed to find examples of images stored in a massive database using systems that "mimi...
